Standard 3: Learning Environment
DESCRIPTION
This artifact combines data from my 23-24 school year EES (Educator Effectiveness System) observation and the 23-24 Panorama Student Perception Survey. I collected and analyzed these artifacts to evaluate my classroom environment and professional practices, with the goal of understanding how students experience safety, support, and engagement in my classroom. The EES observation documents my instructional strategies, classroom management, and interactions with students, while the Panorama survey provides insight into student perceptions of classroom climate, teacher support, and sense of belonging. Together, these artifacts provide a comprehensive view of the learning environment I cultivate and inform ways I can continue to improve my teaching practice.

JUSTIFICATION & REFLECTION
I chose this artifact because it demonstrates my ability to establish and maintain a positive, safe, and supportive learning environment, reflecting HTSB Standard #3. The combination of observation data and student feedback shows how I collaborate with learners and colleagues, maintain clear expectations, and foster mutual respect and engagement in the classroom.
This process reinforced the importance of connecting with students, building strong relationships, and responding to their needs and perspectives. Moving forward, I will continue to nurture these relationships, reflect on student feedback, strengthen classroom routines, and collaborate with colleagues to ensure that every learner feels valued, respected, and empowered to achieve their full potential.
