Everything's Going To Be Alright is a documentary film and multi-part photo series focusing on the healing power of humor and laughter. Part one of this project focuses on Olivia Ricken, a clown and circus performer based in Christchurch, NZ. Ricken was deeply affected by the 2011 Christchurch Earthquake and lost her home and circus school in the aftermath. Aside from using humor to help her deal with this traumatic event, humor also helped her overcome her depression she struggled with growing up. Despite her personal struggles, she continues to bring joy to others through her work.
"Today, You Are You" focuses on the West Hollywood Elite Cheerleaders, a non-profit organization heavily involved in community work both inside and outside of the LGBTQA community-- Bringing joy to others through cheer, entertainment and positivity and teamwork. The reason why this film is being made is simple: To encourage people to love themselves and to inspire people to approach the world with more kindness in their heart and lots of glitter, sass and confidence.
